Default 710

The 950R comes with lotsa hudy upgrade parts.. for example the doggie bones and the axles as stardard. Will this be the case for 710?? How about the FC? Last but not least, I think the package should INCLUDE a few pulleys/Spurs/pinions for different ratios, with clear explaination as to how diferent ratios work!

Its good to know that I wasn't ripped off, especially since I love serpent cars so much. I just can't wait to get my 710!

Schrijver99, I have not noticed any decline in the rear end's strength after my mod. The cut part is securely attaced to the bulkhead brace, and the bulkhead brace effectively braces the top of the bukhead (through screws through the body mounts) and the bottom of the bulkhead (through screws through the chassis), giving a very minor loss in strength. Am I missing something? After racing it every week since I modified it, I haven't noticed any loss of strength. Here's a pic.

some will be sad that the life of their beloved S-705 will come to an end
My 705 hasnít come to and end, I hope. If Serpent doesnít want piss their existing 705 owners off, they better keep supporting the 705. Iím thinking of part supply etc, not further development.

My national distributor is already doing a "so, so" job supporting the 705. It didnít carry plastic shock parts, drive axles, and some of the pulleys etc. Thankfully the 705 is a tank and doesnít break easily. My track time hasnít suffered much at all, but I canít be that lucky all the time. I just might have to buy a Mugen. Or I might wait for the 710R

Hi Johan,

It`s always been a dilema for part support, not only for serpent but also for all other products when the replacement products are out.

Always like chicken and egg, LHS keep big inventory, but customers only buy when things broken, even if they know that thing will broke at sometimes. Should buy when there is stock in LHS before it broke? Well, that`s only customer choices and concern..

LHS sell the car so must provide complete parts at all time for customer? Well, that`s also depend on how loyal the customers are. In other words, do the customers guarantee that he/she will buy the inventoried parts at some amount within specific period of time??

.... It`s always been a dilema.... without LHS, there is no fun playing R/C, without customers, there will be no LHS.

Anyway.. in case you need S705 parts and could not find one in your country LHS, please drop us an email... we will try our best to support Serpents customers.

Default 705 Parts

Hallo Johan,

Dont worry to much about 705 parts, just like Pyramid says.

Maybe you can try this configurations : use 705 with Lola bodyshell and 710 with touring shell.

Just an idea and that is what I planned to do in next season.
Because in my last race with 705+Lola+FR solid axle, the car handling is awesome.

Is there going to be an upgrade kit for the 705 to the 710? I'm going to be really PO'ed if there isn't.

I'm afraid not since the 710 will be a completely new car...

Anyway, a personal question... How do you find time to run all your cars? I'm already finding it difficult as it is to find track time with my 705 and Impulse PRO...

The thing is I don't know if Johan's track allows or even has a category for 1/10th scale TC cars with Lola shells. That would be outlaw category if I'm not mistaken.

Like Punisher and yourself, I too am not finished with my 705 ! Yup, support in terms of parts supply would be enough.

I think Holland is pretty near from where you are. RCCarinternational should have a pretty good inventory of 705 parts and I would think they should be able to get them easy as they are situated near the Serpent factory. I could still get hold of the old Centax clutchbell meant for their Excel car about a year ago !! The other place would be from Serpent Austria.

Default LOLA shells

Ops, thanks for reminding, "D".
Anyway that is just an idea.

In my local track we run both classes.
GP 1/10 Touring and GP 1/10 Lola, limitations was only strict for the body, 12 class engine+pipe, 2speed and some basics.

In National meeting, there is 1 additional class:
- EFRA GP 1/10 Touring Class
Which is engine and pipe will be scruded 1week before the even, under EFRA rules.
