I'm not from your part of the world (I'm from Mars ) but I don't think Serpent USA sells directly to end users.

As for Jaco Nitro Shoes, I don't know if they fit the 705. But I know for a fact that they were lots of it on display in one shop that I went in Singapore that was selling exclusively Serpent. I bet they fit but don't take my word for it. I'll try and give them a call and ask them if people had sucess using them on the PRO / 705.

What did any of you guys do to the stock brake system on the 705 to get the pads to separate from the disk? Testing out my car, I noticed that the pads didn't move after I applied brakes.

they should move freely on there pins, and the top can be adjusted so it works to realease the brakes properly, just pull the arm off and move the plastic insert to get better alignment.. it should return to a perpinticular angle to the chassie... when released....

takes some monkeying around to get right, if it seems tight, check to make sure you do not have a bind in the top plate or the bulkhead on the bottom support... should have free rotation when realeased...

Well I fixed my shock problems by getting the alum. shock bodies and while I was at it I installed alum. pullies.I will be testing it at the swcs race this weekend and let you all know what happened. Rcinfinity just make sure the top brake bracket is not binding, there is a lip under it to sit the pads.

Pit-Racer,

Where the shocks coming off under Imapct or just coming off? I have not had that problem yet, but I have also not run the car that much.

They were coming apart at the cap.Either the mold on the threads were bad or the bladders don't sit right.I stated earlier I had previous serpent cars and never had this problem...after two complete rebuilds I just bought the alum. shock bodies.

I believe they come off upon slight impact. They usually don't. I had mine came off with a slight side brush against the wall.

The ones that I have on the PRO are with aluminum shock bodies and the threads do not strip. Heck, I clipped a side wall the other day and part of the shock cap broke into half. The bottom part of the shock cap was still threaded to the shock body. It was funny because there was no leaks and I could see the top of the bladder working.

Default Problems with 705?

Hi guys,
i've been reading this shock problems on the 705. In fact, i 've ordered 705 as my 2nd car, but it seems to me there are many problems to be solved even its new and seems quite fragile on the shock bodies.
I am wondering if this shock in the 705 the same as in the Pro?

Or Serpent has reverted to plastic shock bodies from Alu. ones which is in the Pro?

the shocks have not changed, what i think is they had some mold runs that have too much glass or something in them, and they are breaking a bit easier, it is the same shock they have had four 4 years now, with the addition of the d shaft and pistons from the x-ray, so should not bee any issues,

no real problems with the car, and the shock i brioke was off my pro and probably 3 years old, an dit broke from impact....

serps are usually the strongest car on the track, mugan is right up there now with there new car, and all cars break on the wall, some of the first run 705, 835, and 950 seemed to have unusually easily broken parts but i would not expect this to contionue, and only saw it in the early release kits......

Default Taking an RC car on a plane?

Hi Guys,

I intend to fly from Germany to the UK this year and want to take my car with me. Is it normally possible to take the car as hand luggage?

How do the pro guys transport their cars?

Does anyone have any recommendations for carry cases, etc. ?

Thanks , Mark.
