I dont know howe they match them but has been told it takes MANY ours finding the right part for one engine....
Fantini has the time to do so as he sells his own engen line (MAX).. but he does not work for Nova Rossi any more.

I dont there are many people who REALY god at matching and putting engines together that are REALY fast... But any way a stock JP, Rody etc is far more than most people can handle anyway....

I think you'll need someone a bit more versed in engine manufacturing/tuning etc but when the pistons and sleeves are made i think(could be wrong)they are both measured and sets are then chosen for the best "match".You obviuosly can't create all pistons and sleeves to be exactly the same size down to the millionth of an inch so therfor the "matching" process is what companies do to choose the best sets for there drivers.Supposedly the MAX engines have better matched piston and sleeves according to uncle manticore.

Also for normal sponsored drivers, do they go into the LHS and open up the engine to check piston / sleeve matching?
Unless some sponsered drivers have eye vision that is beyond comprehension then i don't think so. I have no idea how companies run there operations but maybe the best sets are kept for the drivers and the majority of the others that are within certain tolerances are put in engines and sold over the counter.I have heard of some people getting new P/S sets and then claiming there engine all of a sudden is a completely new animal, could be they got a lucky better matched set,who knows!

And its not only the piston/sleve that has to be a god match.... everyting need to be... and together.... thats what makes it so hard to get a RELY god one...

Is Fantini still sponsered by Nova or is he now competing with them?

when looking at Ralphs car with the 950 arms on it Not sure if yall noticed that also the arm is moved in further to the center of the chassis directly in front of the rear top plate screws instead of to the outside of them So that makes me wonder how the lower arms are mounted also

Shock Absorber Alloy Membrane Ring (909408) was optionally used for better seal between the older shock bladder and the shock cap. The was applicable to the older shock bladder shape.

I believe I read somewhere on mytsn that Serpent recently changed the shock bladder shape and the new ones do not require this alloy membrane ring.

When using the alloy membrane ring with the older shock bladder, you needed to modify the shock cap a little. The extruding part that normally keeps the membrane in place needed to be cut away.

The membrane will be squeezed through the ring and the shock absorber can be assembled as normal.

After this modification the membrane will not be disformed any more when the shock absorber top end is tightened.
