pokemon, no, I have not gotten the 4 mm chassis. The way I'm driving, I would get it pretty soon I think

The 4 mm should be better and stronger. The stock 3 mm one is pretty weak. The 4 mm one has chamfering at the sides so that they are not fully 4 mm all the way. The sides are tappered so that the chassis does not scrape the sides when taking sharp high speed corners.

Touring car bodies would be better in that sense like what you mentioned. However, performance wise, you won't be able to get close to any Lola shell bodied cars They will eat you at the corners because of the corner speed that these bodies allow the car to carry. Steering is also good with Lola body shells.

Also, engine cooling is better than with TC bodies and you do not have to worry about TC rear wings coming off in a high speed crash... But then again, the chances that a TC body would recover in a crash by flipping and rolling back on it's 4 wheels is better than the cars equipped with Lola bodyshells. Lola bodyshell cars don't topple easy but once they do, they can be very hard to recover. You would then have to rely on the turn marshalls to flip your car back to action

Ummm, snippets from mytsn race report mention that KHM engines get the following treatment;

"...space-tech treatment on the crankshaft, silicone filled crank intake, machined and PTFE coated back plates, modified timing and re-worked sleeve, and last but not least further optimized crankcase internals..."

Well, this is what is done to the .21 engines. No idea what is done to Michael's and Julius' KHM modified engines in the EC... We'll just have to wait and see

Cool!!!!

I've got the Serpent Porsche body shell, but I've never mounted it, as I thought in the learning phase (driving I mean) - it's better that I don't use something that would give me too much grip round the corners. If I got used to driving a Canam body shell, I'd never be able to handle a touring car. Also the Canams are not allowed in competition here

Race report? I've always marveled at those who can race and do a report at the same time... No promises but I'll try my best

Well, we're racing slightly down south of KL. Huge and high speed track. Tire wear and fuel consumption will be a problem. Average time per lap is about 18 seconds.

Ok, since it's Friday, I'll post a pic of the track

Yes, the older one. It actually did not break but I found a hairline crack when I tried to bend it back again... And that was like 2 or 3 times already

Estimated cost? Ummm, I might want to market it as High Response Pulley Set

Anyway, assuming you already bought the 22T brake pulley and the 16T pulley to be used on the rear side can be bought as it comes from the front mid bearing block, you only need to invest in the 69 toothed 207 mm rear belt which you can get from a belting shop and the 50T rear diff pulley (909376) which is somewhat difficult to get here because firstly, nobody uses a rear diff in a 1/8th scale. I got it directly from Holland which I paid about EURO 10.25 for it.
