Woow, people rarely get Serpent bodyshells... Be it in the States or around here... Protoform bodies is what we use here. I guess in the States too. HPI bodies are thin and weak. Not for racing but if you want a show body, then the HPI ones have better decals

I hear that Serpent bodyshells are the strongest and toughest although they may not be the best in the looks department...

Yup... More progressive and side bite in the middle of the corner increases. But shock reaction is slower when in a more horizontal position.

The bodies are readily available here - but I've not seen so many Protoforms.
Yep, the body is more durable than the HPI - I had an HPI previous to this one.

You have good pairs of eyes taz Ummm, the second pic looks like a joke... Perhaps somebody with a marker pen or editing the pic by computer You can see that originally, it's a 5 but then somebody closed the loop in the 5 and made it a 6

Is that the new version 2 of the Alfa 156 Punisher was using? I thought it only came out for 190 mm version...

Ummm, lots of steering? Perhaps it's the car though...

Mark, yes, I feel the Friday loving already

Woow, those are fantastic pics I really like all of them. The last one being the best. Truly worthy of D1 quality Ummm, shutter speed must be pretty high on most of them as you manage to get these fast buggers look still in the picture, as if the cars stopped to give you a picture perfect post

I must say you really have a eye for photography... Keep it up

You say the nicest things!

Apart from the 4th (I think) all were taken at 1/1000th - the rule for sports photos is minimum 1/500th to capture the action still. Below that is where the real fun begins. When I used to do a lot of photo work, I would go down to 1/20th with the 400mm to capture some real spectacular images:

Have a look at my site from the time when I was jetting over the world and rubbing sholders with the stars

Cheers, Mark.

I should have mentioned lower shutter speeds... Not higher

Yes, the picture you showed has a pretty nice effect to it

With the 1/8th cars, it seems that the shutter speed is also needs to be boosted. The 4th picture shows a similar affect to the one of the real racing car - even the the one of the 1/8th was taken at 1/320th!!! Maybe the shutter speed scales 8x!!

It was great doing the photo work for a few years, but then the strain of the travel, working every weekend, carrying 6kg of camera equipment, late nights sending photos, etc. became too much and I packed it in. I miss it, but I have more time now for fun hobbies like RC
