Ummm, no secret I think I thought HPI or even Mugen flyweights have optional holes to alter the way the clutch engages

Any more beans to spill? I asked Pit-racer to take pictures of Punisher's car to see what he has inside loaded.... Perhaps you can take the task to do it too

I've been using the Red shoe. I maybe wrong here, but the Red shoe was not produce by Mugen, I think its Racer-Choice.
The clutch shoe is a delta item.

Do not know about the HPI though, but the Mugen is the light weight clutch, thats where they drill the holes there. The hole are not at the center too.

Mine and some Mugen and Serpent guys here use the Red shoe from Racer Choice brought by Speedline. The serpent is the 3 holes shoe, while the Mugen is 4 Holes shoe. Bought it for less then 10 bucks.

Paul, you wash your car in the washing machine? Cool

I too had a nasty accident last weekend but nothing too serious. Hope everything is good with you.

Assuming you assemble it right,
Loosen up the 2 screws on the 2 speed shoes. Make sure u make even out (anti-clockwise turn). Test run the car until it shift to the right point you want. Also make sure the engine is not too overly rich. It may sound stupid, but do make sure the pin for the 2 speed shoe are there.
