its almost similar but you don't get the latest light weight centax design, new chassis design and more centralize design.

Its depends on you, if you are serious about on-road racing. Coz if you are, you will always want more. The other thing, i wouldn't recommend the carbon fiber chassis, like what InitialD mention, heat transfer is not good and your chassis will break, instead of bend if it on hard hit.

That's a GPM carbon graphite chassis alright. Nizee and Accord are correct.

The two speed gearbox, the Centax I clutchbell, the battery pack and the tank from what I can see will give it away that it is not a 705. Have a look at the pictures on mytsn's 705 product page. You can see the difference.

Well, don't be too quick to judge the guy for trying to do a fast one on you. Perhaps he does not know too much about the car and merely passed on this information as he was told.

I don't know how much the guy is offerring you... I can see that the car has been upgraded. From the looks of if, the pulleys are aluminum (not that it has any benefit anyways) and they are of the new 705 grub screw type. The ball diff is the one from Impact (Hudy spring steel). The outdrives and the dogbones are also Hudy springsteel upgraded. Aluminum mid bearing block and Centax I clutch (not Centax II but it is fine also).

What engine is that? How many gallons of fuel through it? What fuel did he use? You need to know if the engine still has good compression in it. The addition of a one piece pipe and a motorsaver is also nice. What brand is that?

The Impulse PRO can be made as good and competitive as the 705 can be. Don't get us wrong on that. The setups that work on the 705 will work on the Impulse PRO. I'm still keeping mine as a spare car.

Only a good driver and experienced driver can distinguish the differences in the centered mass distribution and reduced polar moment of the 705 when compared to the Impulse PRO. Good luck and like what you say, purchasing an aluminum chassis for that car in replacement of the carbon graphite chassis is a good idea.

BOWTIE1,

Whatever it is, both the Pro and 705 are a great car. You can never go wrong with that. There are a few racers in Austin that run the Pro and the 705, do give us a call if u happen to be there.

InitialD,
Time for u to go to bed !!
Is not healty!! Good racer need sleep to concentrate on the field!!

Sure, no problem. We have races here every Sat Night. PM me and i'll show you details.
Don't want to crowd this 705 forum with PS msgs.

No problem about hanging out here in the 705 forum, basically its Serpent !!

Yes you can, but not worth the money. I believe there is one time Serpent sold the upgrade version from Pro to 705, but its kinda expensive and now Serpent remove that options.
