Default .15 engine for Serpent 835

Hi,
I've just bought a Serpent 835 and need to get an engine and pipe for it. I can't seem to find much information about which .15 engine/pipe combinations are good / best. I would appreciate some advice on this subject please. It needs to be BRCA / EFRA legal as I plan to compete in UK when I learn how to drive without breaking the marshalls' ankles!

I am happy to pay a decent price for a good engine.

thanks

Big block .15 engines are getting harder to find. RB X.15 & X 15 pipe are a good combo also the Mega evo 5 was a good choice. You may have to scout around a bit to find one though. If you are interested in a good 2nd hand engine PM me.

i got my big block rb15 from ashford hobbies. Robert Poage will help you out. he will get a good pipe and header for you also. i got mine modded by Uriah Murnan. i had by far the fastest 235mm car at the track. now if i could learn to drive, i might win some races

if you decide to get it modified, Uriah will do efra legal mods.

thanks guys. I can't seem to get onto the ashford hobbies website though. I'll keep trying - maybe the site's down for a while. The RB x15 costs £300 in UK (not even the rody modified for that price) (thats about $550!). I am interested in a second hand one if its in good condition.

Default Power/Dollars = OS 18

Unless you are in the nationals, or some picky inspection - consider the OS 18TZ small block - that is one smoking motor

Along with the OS .18 you will need to buy the small block engine mounts that Serpent sells.

Thanks, but I need a .15 engine in order to be able to race - BRCA rules.
Think I'll try and get a second hand RB x15

Try looking on the Nitro Models web site in the UK - He has the X15 and newer V15 at good prices currently

Thanks, but I think the V15 is a small block engine.
Thanks for all of the advice everyone. I now have a second hand rb x15 on its way.

Yes the V15 is a small block. The X15 is the Big block.
