let me ask you, what is the difference between the V-one-R and the V-one-RR? All I really noticed was a centax clutch, rear body mounts and the new front lower plastic bumper. otherwise, it seems like the foam equipped VoneR with the choice of rubber slicks or foams.
This has been nagging me for a while.

Differences being:
1. Wide front bumper and body mount (for VDS / Lola body)
2. Front one way
3. Rear floating body mount
4. Rear 30mm tires
5. Centax clutch

Correct me if I missed anything

For the Lola equipped V One RR the differences are as follows.

-adjustable blade type front swaybar.
-new wide bumper
-new front body mount
-new belts (all three are different from the V One R in terms of material)
-RR side belt is smaller than the V One R belt.
-overdriven front (25T pulley)
-new rear bulkhead brace
-new rear shock towers
-centax clutch
-rear floating pod body mount
-26mm foams front, 30mm rear
-shorter rear dogbone & longer rear axle

There are other few minor differences, but these are the biggies.

Which V-One R is it that has the wider rear track?

I dont know if the Stratus RR has 30mm foams for the rear, but i do know that the Lola has 30mm foams. The cars are all 200mm, so there is no difference in width.

V-One S 10-20-2002 11:16 PM

Well one of them has a different rear track width.
don't know if it is wider or thinner

Im2lazy 10-21-2002 12:34 AM

Thanks. To me, I still don't see it as much of a difference as some of that stuff was on the grp voner.
But I think coming out with this car is better than revamping the whole car the way that Manufacturers have been known to do before anyone really had their cars for any period of time. (cough...serpent...cough...veteq...cough)
This way, owners of the wold car can revamptheir racing platform, if they don't already have most of this stuff anyways.:p

There are ome major changes in there that would cost a few $$$ to upgrade on the V-One R so yeah they just brought out a diff V-One R called the V-One RR,

The best things they improved between the RR and the GRP was including a centax type clutch and also an adjustable blade type swaybar for the front. Also the overdriven front is a welcome addition since the car has a oneway. the floating rear pod is the most useful when using lola/can am type bodies IMO.

V-One S 10-21-2002 12:49 AM

what is the floating rear pod and wat does it do?

design found mostly in 1/10 and 1/8 onroad cars. the idea stems from the problem that downforce is wasted by compressing the suspension and in some extreme cases compressing it to the point where the chassis scraps the ground. to solve this they linked the rear hub or rear camber link to the body mount so that the downforce "pushes" directly or indirectly to the hub so the downforce from the mounts reaches the wheels.

O ok, i see now
