Roelof how is the motor holding out now? Looking to perhaps try one for my son in 2wd 1:8 Pan

As modded it just lasted one race, the rods are not made to withstand the forces. But the rod is the same as Novarossi R rods.
As stock I do not know, the other was later modded and crashed as well.

But for just the 60 dollar it is a fun engine to try, you probably can expand the life to run some extra oil.

A pan car driven by a less experienced driver should give a big buck for the money, the offroad models are well reviewed so I expect the same for onroad with a mild use.

Thanks, seems like a safe bet then. Perhaps would make a good Rain Motor as well. The Nova rods are readily available so perhaps its best to get a few and install them prior to break in. I think this is what I will do.

When ypu leave it stock you can even mount a used Novarossi rod.
