A .12 is considered outlaw once the number of ports exceeds the alotted 3ports as stated by ROAR.

If it has to be a .12 or a .15, the Rody tuned V15 is very fast. Not cheap, but really fast.

I also agree with the 18TZ for value , i purchased one for my dragster and have used it in my old G4 and the torque and mid range power is awsome(2.28). Yes is it is a handfull to drive but a few tweaks of the transmitter helped.
Cheers.

Nothing beat Rody V15 ( in .15 class engine ) if money is no object.

What do you mean when you say outlaw class? 200mm cars with .15 engines? or 235 cars?

Cheers

Given your initial information a small block 12 or 15 vs a big block 15 you will not find a small block that will come anywhere near a bigblock 15. Because small block 15's get there with bore increase = rpm and big blocks get there with stroke = torque. To push a 235 car effectively you need stroke which = torque because of its heavier weight. It is not possible to gear a 235 low enough to effectivley use a high reving 15 small block. Been there done that.

right now if your in the united states there are few choices. The only current choice in a 15 bigblock is an RB X15. Other than that you will have to watch the ebay sales for some othere like the megas they don't make any more or the rare Collari or JP (nova based) big block 15's. The RB is still readily available from places like ashford hobby and runs as good as any
