Hey guys, just bought a new Serpent 950 kit as my first 1/8 on road, and I need some input and suggestions on an engine for it. Fast and reliable of course. Anyone..............anyone............

I am assuming you know that your car is an older model as there is a 960 out which is a definite improvement. If you are going to be racing on a decent sized track, budget is the limiting factor. On the higher end I would get either the JP R-O3 mod (very expensive). After that get a Novarossi Plus 21-3 (get a hotmod if you can). You can also then get a stock version of the Novarossi or get the stock version of the JP R-O1. If you are looking for a more budget "sport" engine, I really don't know and hopefully someone else can help you.

MEGA Zx21.....good price and good enough speed.......just need to get spare conrod after break in and after 1 gallon or so....a lot cheaper then those JP or MAX series engine.

Nova Rossi , JP and MAX are the big guns on 21 engine, so does their price tag.

I found a new Nove Mega RS-21T that has never been run, but I can't find any info on it. Does anyone know anything about them?

Wound up buying a Novarossi GP .21 Pro. Gonna send it out to TNT Mods while it is brand new and see what I get back.
