The car is nice right out of the box, but is there any optional parts that are a must?

Must have...the car goes really fast just out of the box.
But I love it when I upgrade the gearbox (capricorn one)... it is not a must... but is so cool, light, and performs very nice!

Regards!

A bit quite on this thread....just bought a new IGT8 red in the UK so this will keep me of the streets for a week or 2...The IGT bell seems to fit perfectly on the Buku clutch.

I am interested in this GT, is there a new one out? Someone who as one can you tell me about the quality of this car. Does it have the short base or is it a GT2 size.

Quality is quite good. Car look a bit like the serpent GT (ie: camber links, arms etc..). Wheelbase between 320 and 325.
The servo posts are positioned vertical instead leaning backwards. It has a low kickup (ie: 5 to 6 degrees). 0 degree castor knuckels available which leaves a total of 6 degree castor which is give or take pretty much in the ballpark. The clutchbell has 4 bearings and the gearing is M08 (ie: exactly the same gears as the capricorn 1/8 onroad).

Default IGT8 Bearing Kit

Hey everyone, we are looking to make a bearing kit and the manual is not helpful. We did make the 13x20's custom for this vehicle and the new offroad car since the Xray's had stopped using that unique size several years ago.

So here is what we have so far and will offer a free kit to the first person that can give us the correct details . We would love to have the offroad car as well if anyone knows that. I'm sure it is the same except for the clutch and no 2 speed bearings obviously.

(6) 8x16 IGT8HE004
(4) 6x10 IGT8SSB
(4) 13x20 IGT8HE001
(4) 8x14 IGT8HE006
(2) ??? Large Diff Pinion Bearings IGT800F10
(2) ??? Small Diff Pinion Bearings IGT800F10
(3) ??? Clutch Small Bearings IGT800210
(1) ??? Clutch Bearing Large IGT800210 - (It looks like the rear bearing is larger in exploded view)
(2) ??? 2-Speed Carrier IGT800203
