Looks like fellow IGT8 driver Tony Luna is going to make the MHOC race this weekend in Denver, Colorado. Looking forward to working on the car set up for a smaller track, as the track is 135 x 65.

Anything you can do to lighten the drive line pays off with better acceleration and braking plus lighter weight. I always start there and then move up in the chassis. There are places you can use aluminum screws in the top, but the bottom should be steel. While your at it, add longer bottom screws for the receiver box / servo mount. There is a lot of flex at that point.
Looking at the manual, my gearing is 48/44 - 15/19. I bought 16/20 clutch bell gears to try. I bought the lightweight outdrives also, which might help but my car is way heavy ... I'm running the Protoform P8 body currently, but I have a blitz body I could paint up and try. The car does everything on the track well except go fast

Fun weekend at the MHOC (Mile High Outdoor Championship) race in Denver. Smaller track, and a small field, but lots of fun. 1st - 3rd was covered by 7 seconds at the end of a 20 min run. I qualified 2nd and ran a pit strategy that almost worked. One less stop but 1st was able to just get out in front of me and I had no real place to pass him with out using the chrome horn. Tony showed up after the qualifiers to make a run from the back of the field and finished 3rd. He went off line with three laps to go and I was able to get by.

Next up for me will be the GLC and then off to LA for the KO race.

Hi everyone, New member here but a old timer as far as rc goes. Got out of the hobby for about 10 years and forgot alot. I recently picked up a Ofna X3 from a LHS and to my dismay i found out that it has been discontinued, bummer. Then i found the IGT8 and a place that sells parts. There are no tracks in my area so this will be a parking lot car setting up cones with friends to make a course.

Anyway was just saying Hi to the other IGT8/X3 owners. Great car, handles almost as good as my Mrx3 does.

Welcome, if you have questions just post here, I've been racing the car since it came out, and came from running the DM1, so a pretty good base of info.

What is everyone using for servos and rx battery. I've used Savox servos in the past but man they are power hungry.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I'm using Futaba High Voltage / High Torque got over a year on them with no issues, with either LiPo or Life.
1300 will do 2/3 qualifiers or 45min mains. Have a 1450 for 60min main.

These new piston design seem to be a bit more consistent while using a lighter weight oil. They have also helped keep the car planted through out the corners and give the car a more connected feel allowing me to carry more speed.

Loving them buddy, Thanks!!
