I live in omaha and there is no asphalt track here just in Lincoln. Im wanting to go to the HoA series.

how about what do you have now?

Longhornfan 01-30-2015 08:53 PM

I got nothing right now. I use to race 8th scale nitro buggy about 12 years ago.

See what is running as stated. Getting into 1/8 can be a steep learning curve, which can be eased by running 1/10 200mm instead. Also considering you used to run buggies you may be used to the way a 4wd handles, and the 1/10 cars are much more forgiving to driver error vs. their larger 1/8 on road versions. See also if the local track might have some used cars which can also lessen the expense.

For the setup system you could buy for 1/10:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3Racing-1-10...-/141242700978

and for 1/8:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3Racing-1-8-...item1e8ebd07b6

I have them both and they do the job perfect.
