My X12T was running fine for about 2 weeks now...ran fine (under 230 degrees) and was very fast...then one day I started it up and it wouldn't hold an idle...then i adjusted the needles and it finally idled again...but it stalls when i give it throttle...cleaned out the carb with alcohol protecting the o-rings...reseted needles back (idle-2.5 out/high 5 out from close)...wouldn't idle...tried new plug....idled....but stalled when throttle was applied....then wouldn't idle again...put another new plug...and it idled..and ran....then I went to go eat lunch.....after lunch went to play with it again...idled....then stalled with throttle....I give up....what do I need to do? I've gone through so many plugs already....but when I check the plugs with my ignitor....it still lights up. BTW: I am running #5 plugs with 20% Odonnell fuel.

There is a McCoy 59 turbo plug!?!?!

Try to get your top-end adjustment screw closer to the bottom-end screw...... meaning you might be to far apart from your high-end setting from your low-end setting. You can be running to lean in the low-end and to rich in the top-end.

Still no luck.....all I know is that when i remove the glowplug...alot of smoke comes out...is this normal....but my head is at only 160 degrees...is a #5 plug still too cold for 20% odonnell?

I would try a hotter plug... got about 3 open on the low end and 4 open on the high end..give that a shot

Now let me ask you a question! when you said it wouldnt idle is it like loading up to much fuel and it died? or something else?? if it sound like a 4 stroking and tons of smoke coming out and loading up then it might be your bottom end needle is too rich! also check on your head see if all 4 screws are tight!

put a #6 plug in it and try leaning it out 5 turns out on the high speed needle is factory settings and is most likely too rich lean it out till it runs good and you should have no problems

Looks like the plugs I was using is supposed to be good to 86 degrees....and the last time my car did run fine was at night....Could these plugs really be that sensitive to outside temperature?

I'll try the #6s as soon as I get a hold of some!

Yes they are but the #6 should be a good plug to use all year

hey dude,

go with a seven or eight novarossi turbo glow plug....and on a cooler day run 5f for cold.......

She runs again!!!.....finally bought some #6 Turbo plugs and my car runs again.....I guess I'll save the #5's for those cold nights. Thanks for all your help guys!

What kind of temperature are you running the car in? Turbo plugs are really sensitive to temperature. A #6 plug is good for 70F-80F.
