Angry Traxxas 3.3 will start and idle but wont rev

Hi everyone im new here and new to the r/c world. Im a mechanic and i build cars. I got a 3.3 motor for my tracxass car from a coworker it had a 2.5 in it. i put a new carb in it and it will start but when i go to rev it, it dies. I adjusted the high speed to 4 turns out and the low speed is flush any help is appreciated. I can see fuel coming out the exhaust at times so i know im rich but no adjustments i have made seem to work im wondering if there is something im over looking.

So i figured it out. Much to my surprise the person before me some parts wrong. The OWB was installed wrong and the wires for the ez start were backwards so the OWB would operate but the motor wont run right spinning the opposite direction. So once i figured out they was wrong i switched em and the car runs perfect and i bet the 2.5 i took out runs fine as well.

I don't have that setup. But wouldn't the one way bearing prevent you from starting the engine in reverse ?
