ON ROAD CAR TO OFF ROAD CONVERSION?

hey every one, is it possible that i could make a on road nitro rc car anything like a buggy? can i change the suspension arms to raise its height significantly? im talking about a hpi rs4 drift 3, any ideas?

With the current state of most off road race track surfaces in this country (hard packed clay), I would say you could toss just about any on road car on the track and do pretty decent.

Would be some custom work for sure I "could" be done. Easier to go buy one used and possibly less expensive

Try to find a used roller from a HPI offroad nitro and build everyting over. It is the most simple and cheapest way.

There will be so much to change to increase the arm travel, geometry and various other specifications that differ between the two classes that by the time you've dremelled, drilled, designed and fabricated the car would break on it's first outing and it would have been cheaper to buy an offroad car and turn it into an offroad car. Unless you want to spend a lot of money to enjoy the experience, which is totally understandable from a hobby enthusiasts perspective the Roelof said it like it is too.

Not wanting to be a kill joy, just saying it like it is.

You could however, trade your HPI for a Kyosho inferno etc and do it!
