Shepherd Velox V8 "EC" 1/8th Car
#196
The rear axle on a 1/8 car is one of the most high wearing parts (regardless of what brand). All the engine power is transferred to it, and when the grip is higher, the wear is faster as there is less forgiveness.
Besides using a good quality grease on the outdrives of the axle, and inspecting/replacing the pulley regularly, there is not much more you can do.
With issue, it could just be the slot that holds the pulley in place could be stripped/damaged which is probably why you can’t see it.

I never use grease to me i find grease just traps in dirt, sand small rocks and makes it like sandpaper and the axle will ware faster..

I would agree. I will probably just run my WC the rest of this year and look at upgrading next year. It's probably going to be cheaper to buy a new kit than upgrade. We will see if they offer an upgrade kit and what it costs. I am definitely pleased to see they have developed the car even more!
