A fantastic base setup which has worked very well with our team within the UK, the only error on this setup sheet is the front eccentric hubs should be in the upper notch (axles down).

Just thought i'd share this with guys out there as we never experience very high grip in the UK, so this maybe much more useful than a setup found at Euros/Worlds level grip.

This setup was used to win the BRCA national at Wombwell circuit, a very technical track.

Thanks James,

Curious to know how you run 0mm rear offset with Matrix rims....I find that I have to run atleast 0.3mm rear offset to stop the rim from rubbing against the top of the hub.

Also, have you had a chance to run the new reverse clutch? I have installed mine, but haven't had a chance to run it yet.

Also, is the brass engine mount on your setup a genuine Shepherd item? What is the part number?

Hi Michael, if you're using the standard steel axles that come in the kit then it shouldn't be a problem, if you're running the new hard coated aluminium axles, 0.5mm off set on the rear.

Cheers,
James.

No the brass engine mounts were made by a workshop here in the UK, you can get the same effect by putting weight under the rear of the fuel tank under the flex bracket.

When looking at pics of the car, I see some look like they're using mugen shocks. Is that the case? Why?

It's just the Mugen White springs, it's not the complete shock.

Shepherd white springs are very close (the Mugen one's are slightly softer, and slightly shorter).

Need some info, is there any upgrade parts for a Shepherd Velox V8 11 with Pro kit upgrade & flex radio tray kit ? I am thinking about getting this but just wanted to know if there are upgrade parts for this.

Thanks

The Shepherd Blue rear and red fronts are closer to Mugen Whites.

The Shepherd white rear and blue fronts are close to Mugen Greys.

Noticed it's a little bit of a pain to get the front tires on compared to the rears. Does a rim trimmer open the hole for the axle as well? What tool is used for the axle hole?
