Careful - the first time you tap a board that thing will splinter.
XRay used to use cf front bumber supports but has changed to soft nylon for just that reason.

That depends on how hard you tap the boards.. I had the CF brace on my old Xray for 2 years without any splintering.

Sparx, don't mistake American racing with European racing.
In the US the dividers are either wooden boards or 2x4's, while in Europe most outdoor tracks are surrounded by grass.
In my first nitro season back in Germany I have not chunked one tire or broke anything on my car.
In the US it was quite a different story
