Yes, the Xray NT18 is slightly narrower and closer to the size of an AE 18 series car than it is to the Tamiya Mini. The Tamiya Mini is actual a 10th scale sized car but short chassis (210mm to 225mm).

i have this nagging question... when i was trying to avoid buying a Cup Racer just to get a good fit for the HPI Lancia Stratos body... i kept noticing that front shock towers on 210mm wheelbase electric cars are often upright. Why is this?

I ask cuz even this mini which has a premium for space has heavily canted shocks. I've noticed that many nitro cars have this... why?

Is the SCUD 09R still in production??? Seem like this little car, like the Kyosho Spad 09, never caught on with the racing community.

Pics and info about the Mini Kyosho can be found here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-ro...ni-cooper.html

Think of it as a Tamiya M01, but with a nitro engine. A friend of mine still has one NIB.

I also had a Micro RS4 Nitro more than 10 years ago. It's basically a Nitro RS4 with with a shorter wheelbase and arms. It wasn't as tight as you'd expect actually. It was a fun toy back then.
