Those are INS boxes. They reduce noice. In europe they are need because a lot of tracks are built around recedential areas.

I'll have a few more photos posted on Monday or Tuesday, after I get home from Toledo. I'll try to get some good photos of Mikey and Josh posted. They're already posted in SGrid Online, but I told a few people I'd also post them here.

"They" say that most of the noise coming out of these 8th scalers, is coming from the intake of air rather than the exhaust...so those are just airboxes.

Also, I notice almost all the cars there had painted drivers....wish someone made these sticker sets, or something.

Yeah, IFMAR rules require that the driver figure be at least 3 colors.
