Gd,

You can surely make your comments, it's your right to do so. But your first post came on as if Swauger was not even going to be one of the top contenders, hence my reply.

He was and still is the fastest driver in this US Team. We also know and have seen him become faster and faster, that's why we had our bets on him.

Now don't tell me he didn't get you hanging for awhile there when he was putting down a consistent SOLID pace to the finish. Afterall it took you sometime to reply. Either way, it's racing.

Thanks to all the racers for giving us something to cheer on and may everyone have a safe trip back home.

Swauger is the man! I think he flamed out at the start of the race. Im not sure, but I looked at the laptimes, Im almost sure had something not have happend at the start, he'd been first or second. I take my hat off 2 him, he did the best outta the US drivers. Right now, hes the fastest driver in the US. And 1 of the fastest in the world! Remember this, he had the winner of the finals beat the whole time he they where there. U can't win them all. U can only try.

Default INCREDIBLE

All I can say is that it was one of the most exciting races that has ever been produced.

I really got into the scene a few years ago when I got the Ray Woods video from the 2001 worlds in Australia which I still show to people who do not understand how sophiscated the sport is and what it takes to make it to the top.

What really struck me in that video is that they go through the past champion s of the 1/8th scale division and it was amazing that the event which is held every TWO years was dominated by Lamberto Collari "5" times in a row, and then he won it again in Cincianatti making it 6 out of 7 !!!!!

Once again I cant stress enough that luck, good pit help, and most of all driving ability combined with a strong engine program can produce a driver that can compete at the Upper Levels of the sport.

Collari is the man, has been the man, and may never have his records broken!

Absolutely incredible to perform that way at that level of competition !!!!

Think about all the local races, then the regionals, then the nationals, and think about what it would take to win the Worlds Seven Times !!!!!!

Hats off to Lamberto, and a special note To Mike Swauger : Congrats Mike!!

I saw you had the fastest lap time in your heat and did the U.S. Proud representing us, all of us at the World Championships.

If only we could get it together a little better a make a National Scened that produces some more drivers that can perform at your level.
Not that there arent enough dedicated drivers, but a support system that helps them financially etc.... in getting to the upper tier.

Off the soap box now !!!!!! Sedan Worlds Next Year !!! See what happens !!

Swauger should have been the fastest US team member. By the end of the event, he had driven through over 100 sets of tires.........Cyrul only about 15 .......what about Toso and the rest...........apples and oranges?

It was 7 out of 9... He missed France to Bertin and Australia to Kenji! He ties with Masami with 7 in 2wd off road electric. You can probably get lucky winning it once or twice, 7 times over 18 years can only means that he is that good!
