Hi all,
Does anyone know off hand or can someone measure for me the diameter of the upright pivot balls/kingpins of the mtx6 for me? I would really appreciate it since I found a good deal on a set but I plan to use them on a velox v8 and need to know the diameter of them to be sure they will work.

Thanks for getting back to me however the upper camber ball wasn't what I was after. It is the pivot ball/kingpin that attaches all the uprights to the wishbones. So if we are talking about the rear uprights then it would be the lower pivot balls of it instead of the camber link pivot balls.
I can't seem to post pictures but a quick Google search for "mugen d0105 will show what they look like.

Why is it that I can't find anywhere selling these? I know I used to see them on tower hobbies and amain. Can't figure out where to buy. Would be interested in a used one too if anyone has one.

Hi all,
A bit of a general question, how long should I expect the side belt to last? I'm not sure what the normal maintenance window is but I am finding I am having to change the pulleys and belt quite regularly (at least once a race weekend) - I have checked to make sure the tensioner isn't too tight. Is there any disadvantage in using the urethane belt? I was also considering getting the arrowmax pulley kit, is there a downside to using metal vs plastic pulleys?
any advice appreciated..
thanks,
Sam

To answer your question, there really isn't a time frame of how long belts will last. It really depends on how often you maintain your pulleys and the type of surface you race on. For instance, if the surface is dirty and rocky, then your belts won't last that long. If you do run on this type of surface, you will need to go through all of your pulleys and belts after every run to make sure they are clean. I run on a prepped surface and my belts last for several months and the same goes for my pulleys. You always need to maintain them after every run and race day.
The type of belts I use are the rubber ones that Mugen has and they work great. They have the least amount of resistance in the drivetrain compared to the urethane belts. The urethane belts that Mugen has are a bit stiffer.
I hope this helps.
