2014 New Mugen Mtx 6- 1/10th GP Touring

My interest is peaked a little. It wiould be nice to see a clearer picture of the engine mounts and bulkhead holding the 2-speed shaft on the gear side to get an idea if they beefed it up. Been a big Mugen fan for a long time (MTX 2, 3, & 4) and wouldn't mind getting back on the Mugen bus again.
Now, lets see about the pricing of the new chassis when it is released.

The carbon brace is holding the middle shaft with the rear bulkheads and the bulkheads together...I cannot clearly see if there is also a middle brace between the upper plate and the rear bulkhead I think not but I am not sure.Looking forward for the new instruction manual to see possible smaller details..
The good thing is that the design of the car didn't change all the updates seem to be only for solving the existing gearing problem.
Mugen is definetely back on the game in 1/10 with this one

It's interesting that they switched to low profile shock towers where Xray said they switched back to original shock towers since they suit larger diameter spec tires better...

Give it a story..... The fact is that many Xray customers all arround the world had difficulties finding a setup with the low profile shocks. And imo I do not think the the short shocks does add something to a lower CG

Hello guys,
The MTX-6 becomes very very interesting if the stripping gear problem is resolved.
Questions for you, guys :
You said "mistake with the current MTX-5 braking system", can you tell us the weak points of the current system ?
Why the braking system on the 2 speed axle will resolve the stripping gear problem ?
Please, your explanations are welcome. Thanks in advance.
See you.

I'm 99% sure this is the problem with the MTX-5.
With the horizontal mounting of the brake lever there is only an upward bending moment when you're running a lot (too much) brake.
On my Capricorn all the rear bulkheads are disconnected as well, but during braking you don't get the extreme chassis bending as seen on the MTX-5.

Nar I just think it's weird that it isn't called mtx5r or something cause it's not a complete new design it's just the mtx5 modified, maybe it's mugens way of admitting they stuffed up and are moving to a new name hoping to start fresh, I hope so cause the mtx5 is a very good and quick car apart from the stripping issues

i was told the 6 shares the same chassis with 5, other than the changes at the rear, the front bulk head, diff,....are different. Need to buy a lot of new parts to make it a 6.
To Kanea6, no offense! in fact, it doesn't matter what name it is, as long as it improves. As Mtx4, it's been the most successful "being copied" became NT1 till now. And RX8 been worst re-engineered model,.......
Cheers!
