Default help identifying a serpent 1/8

Hi guys, I have picked up an older serpent 966 to get into 1/8 racing but it looks like there were a few models (TE, Evo), is there a big difference between them and how do I know which one I have?

I am trying to find a setup to start with, any suggestions for a technical high-ish traction circuit? I looked on the serpent website, what is a good one to try?

thank you

Original 966 had short, narrow upper Alu suspension holders and rccx shocks

966 evo had new bearing blocks allowing the bearings to be mounted within plastic bushes. Not a vast change over original 966

966-TE had a big change. RCM shocks, Split radio plate for flex. New wider front upper suspension blocks (roll centre change) as well as a change from rear upper wishbone to camber rod with new camber bracket. It also included the new SL8 gearbox. It also had rear lower shock extensions to change the shock angle.

966-TE v2 just added the Centax True Motion Clutch.

Post a couple pictures of front and rear end and I'll tell you which version you have!
