I'm 28, started when I was 25 (though bought the first one when I was 24). Started racing when I was 25.

Cars I've owned (and still do except 1). Oh noes, I might be like Fast Harry when I get old , I can't bring myself to get rid of my cars.

1) HPI RS4 2 (raced for about 2 months before retirement)
2) Associated TC3 (never ran, and traded for #4)
3) GS Vision Pro (good race car, need to put it back together for some fun on the track)
4) Associated 12L3 (haven't ran yet, but will this winter)
5) Mugen MTX3 Prospec (my current racecar...though this might be the last summer for this chassis)
6) ?????? (maybe RRR, MTX4, or possibly 1/8 scale onroad)

Oh my goodness, I've owned more than I thought.

cool post!!
Im 36, i started back when i was 15, my first car was a Marui, i cant remember the name, but my cousin gave it to me.
I was fascinated by the detail, the cool off road tires, the racing lights on the body shell, and all the flashy stickers, lol.
Lets just say, i was hooked, i had a part time job and i saved up till i had enough money to buy an associated RC10, thats right, the one with the gold chassis and white plastic suspension parts.
since then ive added a few,,,
Mugen MRX4R
FG Modellsport porsche 911
JR Venture 50 helicopter
Jammin X1CR buggy
An old collection of Neo 1/8th cars
CRC six pack
Team losi JRX2
HPI savage

I got started when I was 21 in the real rc thing. Started racing at 27. I'm 39 now and like many on this tread, I had too many cars, trucks and boats to remember. Current fleet total is 16.

Default How old

Bunch of young pups out there.
I will hit the big 60 next Feb, and RC does keep you young at heart.
Was into street rods for years, <113 real cars> and got into RC on-road about 9 years ago, and love every minute of it.
Stickly 10th scale and 1/8th scale nitro.
Would have loved to go back to the Nats this year, but other things came up and did not have the time.

43 and been racing for 3 years. Bought a Tamiya TB02 for my middle son for Christmas in 2005 and thought "this is too much fun". Been hooked ever since, and myself and two of my boys race every two weeks. Truth is I enjoy it more than they do.

I'm 42, my first car rc was a tethered dragster made by Cox. I believe I bought it from Giant Tiger in the late 70's. Never got the car started. Got back into RC in 1999 with a traxxas t-maxx.

I am 37. Been racing buggies and trucks for a little over 20 years on and off. I have always wanted to get into the on roads and finally did this year. I used to have posters of the on roads on my wall when I was a kid.

I am now running a Serpent Vector with a Sirio .21 7 port. It is just plain awesome. I run it in freshly paved parking lots when I find them. I am dying to race it because I am totally convinced it will be a car to reckon with on the track. I just can't seem to find a local track or a track in CT. I would travel a little to race. NY, PA, LI, NJ. When the new season starts, I will travel a little further. Just want to see how I do in the heats first.
