Just wanted to say hi and that I am a newb in this forums. I've been driving on-road for about 3 years or more now but then stopped for a few years and just got back into it this week. Currently here is what I have:

HPI R40
Lynx 3D

Thats all I've got and I've been looking for a good .12 motor thats reliable but has a great off-line punch. Here is my previous set-up

Kyosho VoneR
NovaMega .12
Airtronics M8
Take-Off 32r

The new O.S. TZ series are awsome motors. Excelent power, decent price, and O.S.'s legendary quality. You should get on Tower Hobbies mailing list, they have great deals and a huge selection...

I can second that...OS TZ 12 @ Tower...$25 off with $149 or above purchase...good engine, good price....
Btw, there is not more Nova Mega, Serpent DC the engine and now, MEGA by Picco....the R40 is just fine, just get the engine and hit the track...

Thanks guys for the help. I will look into the new OS motor and check out Tower Hobbies price. Anyone know of any local tracks in the San Diego or Murrieta California area?

Saturday racing at Corona HobbyTown. Check out the Racing Forum. There are a few threads there. I'll be there Saturday with a pair of R40's. You can as Charlie to call me up if you want to meet up. Especially if you need any help getting your car set up.
