delta xp4 vs 03 evolva vs 05 evolva vs mrx4

what do you think about these 3 cars? all seem to be at the top at the moment. how would you rate them? is delta xp4 better than 03 evolva? can it be compared to 05? where does mugen fit in? thanks

Listen man, at the level your talking about, it's mostly prefrence, all three cars can win if they have the right driver controlling them.

Same goes for touring cars, MTX-4, Vone-RRR, 710, all capable of winning.

Get somthing you can get parts for easily.

i think all those cars handle well. i picked up an 03 evolva because they went on sale. i'll run with it and pick up the 05 upgrade kit if i feel i need it (most likely not tho esp. for local club racing). if you wanna save some money, lee muse of www.gasrccar.com is selling his own personal xp4. check out his site. also, i bet you can find some really good prices on an mrx-3 on ebay. there's no reason why the mrx-3 couldn't run with that crowd too. good luck choosing your car. you won't go wrong with any of them (or their predecessors: mrx-3, fantom, etc.).

I run the Delta XP4. Awesome car. I was running the Mugen MRX3 and just didn't like the way it drove. It just wasn't right for my driving style. I can really push the XP4 hard and it don't do anything stupid.

P.S. I am also a Delta dealer........ if you ever need anything.

Considering they're all nearly identical(same basic layout and handling characteristics), you could just go the efficiency route, and get a P.R. XR80 for under $400...RTR. Swap out the am radio, throw in a nice steering servo, and you've got a decent 8th scale racecar...

P.S. It's a wise decision to find something that has good local parts support. That way you aren't waiting for the mail man to drive your car again after a major mishap... ;)

Is the Evolva 03 and the Delta xp4 the same car??

Erock 08-17-2005 04:09 PM

Yep, the only difference is the graphite upper deck. Delta uses Kyosho plastic parts and machines everything else themselves.
