Dennis,
I don't think that the body style has anything to do with the lost participation in the 235 class. I think it is more due to the explosion of popularity in 200 sedan. They are slower, easier to set-up and drive, and they were a bit cheaper (key word here is WERE). I think it was a great move on ROARs part, to combine 200 open with 235. This gives drivers that like the Lola bodies a chance to run there 200 cars with the body of their choice & with a somewhat faster engine.
The open-cockpit Lola style body provides; more down force, FAR easier re-fueling, and FAR lower engine temps. Those are enough reasons for me. My negative comments about sedan bodies are meant in a very lighthearted vein, and should not be taken to seriously. I have raced a lot of 1/10 TC, and had a great time doing it. I just can't take racing a toy car, that is styled after a commuter car, all that seriously! I know! Let's have a Volvo Wagon Cup .

I think instead of 235mm dying, 200mm should die.

235mm>200mm, period.

If 235mm was more popular, i'd get one and ditch my 200mm.

well hopfully 235mm class will come back and become more popular again, one problem that may be getting in the way could be that the 235mm class doesnt have a range of brands like the 200mm class does but variety isnt always the most important, what do you guys think??, and how cant you like 235s just have a look at these bodies they look neet az and theres a pretty large range to choose from.

Default 235

I absolutely love 235 prob was just not enough participation , I think its just like any type of racing , once money plays a part you start seeing the more expensive classes drop, I hope 235 doesnt disapear completely its like a big 12scale .

its simple start running the class and stick to it. 235 cars are dirt cheap at the moment and parts are still plenty available. demand drives manufacturers.

this was probably the best 235 body ever made. Just before the last worlds, and still available from parma.

ye definatly agree on that comment Motorman, their great handling cars and their fast and if theirs a demand company's like kyosho, mugen, powerracing will or may possibly release 235mm class type cars and that ll help the 235 series come back especially here in Australia, id say that besides that pic of parma's 235mm body the Volvo bodies and alfa romeo etc.. are good aero dynamic bodies, look mad if you put effort into doing the paint job.

I remember one painted like outer space it was off the chain. that parma body is an aero mutha. And the kickouts on the rear quarters had the rear really planted.

ok sounds like a pretty good body to use mmm , at the moment ive got three options 1. race 1/8th off road and join a race team,2. race 1/8th on road with a mugen MRX3...,3. race in the 235mm class hmm a bit hard to choose , its all soo tempting

Unfortunately it was also arguably the ugliest body ever made

Default 235mm

235mm rocks maan, the best class ever of RC!
Least expensive and most reliable, just need a little more power out of corners and everyone will love them, I alresdy do but have not raced in Australia since late last year when there was only 2 heats at the Nats.
Come back 235 please.
