The battery doesn't look right. I use a hump pack 6V that fits in battery compartment under the fuel tank. Also the belts are factory but if you can get Mugen MTX3 belts, better!!

Default new here!

hi guys. first time in this forum and this hobby. got me my first car, a second hand gpx4 rtr. yeah i know i should've gotten a pro. but hey, with all the posts you guys made, seems like a did pretty good at choosing my first car.

maybe you guys have tips for a newbie whose got bitten by the nitro bug? like a good engine for this thing? or tips on adjusting whatever? i read somewhere that there are cases that this kit has a nasty habit of forgeting to shift to 2nd gear. it'd be great if yous could share some tips on how to get by this.

id love to see more pics of your cars, rtr or pro, to help me get inspired to build this thing up.

thanks and more power to you guys!

Ohhh... from what i read earlier it appeared to be a flat pack the same as the MTX4. Was more interested to see if the parts for the diff were correct as well.

If you got two kits is everything in the box to build a front diff?

Thanks

I run an RTR car and standard gear diff in front end and back, Pro car one way diff so I cant help. Check through pages as something probably there. If you run front diff, Id use 50000 silicon oil and 30000 back to start and then probably 100000 in front depending on track and your experience. I have changed standard carby for Nova and big difference in tuning (Hyper 12 pullstart), plus Skyline VR12 plus pipe. I run at my track 37 shore foams all round with med bite track. The carb would work with Hyper 12 non pullstart and would be cheap starters motor.

Check my prev reply to Undies, also add MTX3 belts to your ride. Keep factory susp settings to start depending on the track. Front droop about 1-3mm and rear 4mm on mine and handles well. ride height 5.5mm fr, 6-7mm rear.

I dont think there is one available. I think you don't need it anyway. When setting up your RTR, don't forget to set your end point adjustments (EPA) for throttle and steering as throttle servo will flex the car and you can damage servo's over time forcing them to go further than they really need/ burn out!!

Hi

Has this car been discontinued? I noticed on the Tower Hobby website the RTR have discontinued or is this just Ofna? Also, the side belt on the RcMart website has been discontinued... Maybe i am looking at too many negatives, but it is looking pair shaped for this car at the moment.

MTX3 belts substitute for original belts. I am using side and rear, have not tried front yet. They might be getting scarce. Let us know if you get them and where from.
