I had a shocker on Friday night. Plastic in this car leaves a lot to be desired. Rollover or get a hit and toe settings on front and rear camber have all changed.

So what do you suggest, wrapping the car in bubble wrap to limit impact of others

FYI.

GAS tank Issue SORTED!.....

I couldn't get my engine to run on idle... no matter what I did... others told me it was the engine, and it was worn out ect ect.... I couldn't believe it would be worn out after 1.5 gallons... Anyway..... I had replaced the carb Thermo-Insulator....and then saw this post... about the Tanks not sealing.... Blew into the tank, plugged other end and YES... the air came out the CAP's oring seal.
The fix??? simple....
1 take the cap off
2 pull off the metal pressure ring, the plastic pressure ring, and o-ring
3 grind down the cap base evenly
4 re-assemble.

I found the o-ring wasn't getting enough "SQUISH" or pressure, so the cap would not seal
properly..... Guess what....

It worked and so did my engine !!!!!!. It idles great and runs great too!...

rebuilding shocks and have Ver. 1. Factory Team.

Needed the VCS MACRO shock rebuild kit.....
Good news is that this appears to be the Same kit as the
Very popular TC3 electric Club Car....
Should be around for quite a while ....

Other cars can damage the rear on big side by side hits, but side swiping the walls will more than likely change rear toe in... Avoiding accidents is necessary with the ntc3, more so than with other brands.....

Yea what happens is you break the top diff cover where the camber links mount and you loose the rear end. Cheap graphite or very fragile. Thats what happened with mine alot. I would sheer off the lower piviot balls alot also. I would suggest getting the xray factory ones if they are the same size. You get 4 of them for 15 bux. Not to bad and they are bullit proof.

That got me frustrated with the car while racing it when i got side checked or pushed and taped a board with the rear. But the diff cap was cheap repair.

Got new fuel tank, also repaired my kfactory tank.

Got spare gears and such..

Also got my jato running. Put a new 3.3 in it, pull start as opposed to ez start..
Now i believe all i need is.... More fuel!!!

And yeah, ive wrecked my tc3 many times now. Even the slightest curb will throw off alignment. Thanks for the help on servo adjustment!

Sorry but wrecking is part of learning how to drive these little fast squirrely cars of ours. Your driving skills will improve and you will learn how to avoid accidents.

Rubbing is racing.

Anyone have a suggested safe temp range for a trx 3.3?
Some say 190-270 is safe. Ive also heard temp isnt that big a deal, as long as i have plenty of power and a smoke trail.. Its a brand new engine and ive broken it in properly. I just want it to last as long as possible.

Also looking into a high torque servo for throttle. Suggestions?

ahh.. that was terribly misleading..

I put the 3.3 in my jato..

i probably will try the 3.3 in the tc3 when i get bored on a rainy day
but for now, I'd like to keep my gears and clutch in tact haha

i should make a jato thread to prevent confusion. only thing is, i prefer the people already helping me on this post lol.

I completely agree, but it's very rare to find a smooth patch of asphalt in Virginia.. I really don't want that super low tc3 going at trx3.3 speeds.. lol. looking at the new nova .21 for an ofna 1/8 roller... its gonna be pricy, but I just sold my 1:1 toy car. might as well get something nice that I'll actually be able to run on the pavement and parking lots around this old state lol. plus I saw some running at the LHS parking lot race last week.. I'm in love.. haha
