If all goes well, Wagner Park might be the place to race my ntc3 from now on....

how are you going about to do this bert? Will you be using vibration shock pad or gel typically used in fpv setups?

I am about to try anti vibration thermal gap filler pads between the motor and the mounts. They will reduce vibrations a bit while still transfering more motor heat to the chassis...Hopefully the fuel tank bubbles will decrease or stop altogether, but I am sure that it will have some positive handling effect(more traction)....

After much consideration, it will not be necessary to reduce vibrations: no real discernable improvements.....Softer shock oil makes more of a difference....Until the next mod(probably lowering the engine) cheers.....

Lowering the motor will only yield a 1.75mm lower motor: that will not change the CG enough to be worth the headache...A better acceleration mod will be to lower the mass of the 60+gram two speed unit: I will be on a mission to get that weight down to less than 50grams without touching the steel input shaft.....Drilling the spur gears and the two speed bell housing could take 3grams off, while switching to all aluminum screws, aluminum brake cup pins and aluminum grub screws could take another 6grams off. Another 4grams can be taken off by switching to ceramic 5/32" balls and machining 2grams off the steel brake disc... That's 13grams(not counting the four grams that could be taken out of the center of the two speed input shaft) of extra rotational mass that can be shaved off on top of the previous 39gram loss from other drivetrain parts: 52grams of rotational mass loss should make a difference on the track....

When I ran the car I used to run solid axles front and rear, I'm a machinist so I used to take a lot weigh off them

That's exactly why I run an aluminum front spool(7grams) and aluminum rear diff outdrives....

Only 5grams out of that two speed 13grams was able to come off safely: set screws, spring tensioner screws, and brake cup pins were too much of a pain to change to aluminum....Only the steel balls, the disc brake and the spur gear screws were safely upgradable: no drilling spur gears needed either....
