Kyosho Inferno GT2 Race Spec question?
Hey guys
I have a GT2 Race Spec I just bought back from a friend and I was putting it all together (or back together he destroyed - it his first RC) and I got to the tranny and was looking at the 2 plastic spur gears/wheels for 1st and 2nd gear and I was wondering... j didnt know if anyone by chance had an idea ab this but I heard the GT2 Race Spec tranny wasnt as strong as the original Kyosho GT2 tranny (those spur wheels/gears have a bluish green hue to them) but I have the old tranny that came with the GT2 race spec from the factory and also have a GT1 or either GT2 tranny that I got from a roller I picked up to replace parts on the car. Of the GT1, GT2, and GT2 Race Spec trannys/gear boxes which in your opinion overall is best performing and pulls the hardest? I heard the Race Spec had a *ok* tranny but the GT2 pulled alot harder when shifting to 2nd gear. Any thoughts or advice? |
The bluish tint gears are the strongest. On the GT2 the spread on gears were from 46 first to 40 second. That caused the hard hit to second , but stripped second gear spurs regularly. The 46-43 option is best. The shoe type 2-speed is the best in those cars.
