Kyosho Inferno GT2 Race Spec question?
 

Hey guys
I have a GT2 Race Spec I just bought back from a friend and I was putting it all together (or back together he destroyed - it his first RC) and I got to the tranny and was looking at the 2 plastic spur gears/wheels for 1st and 2nd gear and I was wondering...
j didnt know if anyone by chance had an idea ab this but I heard the GT2 Race Spec tranny wasnt as strong as the original Kyosho GT2 tranny (those spur wheels/gears have a bluish green hue to them) but I have the old tranny that came with the GT2 race spec from the factory and also have a GT1 or either GT2 tranny that I got from a roller I picked up to replace parts on the car. Of the GT1, GT2, and GT2 Race Spec trannys/gear boxes which in your opinion overall is best performing and pulls the hardest? I heard the Race Spec had a *ok* tranny but the GT2 pulled alot harder when shifting to 2nd gear.
Any thoughts or advice?

The bluish tint gears are the strongest. On the GT2 the spread on gears were from 46 first to 40 second. That caused the hard hit to second , but stripped second gear spurs regularly. The 46-43 option is best. The shoe type 2-speed is the best in those cars.
