Default to true or not to true tyres on club days ??

hey guys

just wanted to know if its worth cutting down tyres to a smaller diameter for club days ?

It all depends on how deep your pockets are. If you can afford it then go for it. The more often you race the car with the same tyre diamater the faster you will become. Personaly I run them out of the box on club days & when they get close to the right diamater I put them away for more important races. That could be why I cant catch the big boys

If funds are holding you back from truing your tires at club races, then I would suggest running them without truing them. I usually ran them untrued when I first got into nitro sedan and they worked just fine. But, when I bought a hudy tire truer, I was truing my tires all the time.

I usually true my tires to get the best handling out of the car. You should also consider the fact that tires won't chunk as easily if you true them. If your tires don't chunk then I guess its alright to just run them as is.

A car that handles well usually depends on your tires. If the car rolls over on your track then bring it in and cut the tires down some. A broken car is more expensive to fix than replacing your tires.
