You have the negative which is common and then each individual cell positive so by making a lead that joins the two positives to the charger and the negative you can charge the pack with a regular charger. You can't balance the pack that way but I don't balance charge reciever packs at the track. I balance the pack between races at home.

Ok .. Actually you could just use the positive lead from the from the 2nd battery and the black lead . Since the pack is wired in series. You would be charging 2 batteries in series.

Hello guys, so now that nitro season is over and the worlds is in Oct. next year i guess we gonna have a new chassis or some updated version like Team Edition? Can we expect it at the start of the new season or it gonna be released at around worlds dates like with the 988?

I’m pretty sure you won’t see anything before the next season starts. I have a feeling the 748 chassis will continue into the worlds with some updates. So not a big 977 -> 988 type change more an update. After all the 748WC is a very well sorted car right now.

Yeah i agree about the car performance, just it is Serpent's tradition every 3 years a new model or something as i remember from previous models. I also think that they will just make an update here and there not something big like 977-988. Time will tell!

Well the 977 series did 5 years (it was released in 2012) and in that time we had like 4 versions (977, 977WC, 977 Evo, 977 Evo v2). So with the 748 coming out in 2014 I'm not sure the 3 year cycle is really a hard and fast thing.

We've had 3 versions of the 748 so far in 4 years (748, 748TQ, 748WC) so it'll be interesting to see what's next but like you I think it'll be another revision to the 748 rather than a new car just yet but let's wait and see!

Default Wireing

My way of doing the wires on the 748. In the receiver box is an xceed lipo regulator. For balance charging I have used the 3rd wire of the battery cable (the blue one). It now serves the same purpose as the 3rd wire on a balancing plug

This past weekend my 748 seemed to hesitate when shifting into 2nd.

Motor ran at 250F and lowering the shift point didn't help.

Any ideas?

Check your 2-speed clutch. Rebuild it, and readjust that set screws per instructions.

Check the gap between the shoes and the 2 speed bell. Use the setscrews to make the gap as small as possible without touching.

Hey everyone! Looking at buying some new servos for this season and wanted to get some recommendations and advice. I read in this thread that some like the Sanwa ERS-971 so those are on my list but wanted to ask for some other options so i can have a choice. Let me know your thoughts and thank you in advance!

Is it time to start talking about rumors of a new car yet or are we too early? Any thoughts on if it would be announced at the worlds, before or after?
