This may be old news, but Serpent's website says that Barry Baker will be piloting a 960 at this race!

It says:

"Serpent USA is proud to be main sponsor of the 2005 Roar Fuel On Road Nationals. For this race we will have the team in full with drivers coming over from all over USA. Barry Baker is joining Team Serpent at this race and will be driving a S-960. Michael Salven, will be attending and will provide technical support to everybody using Serpent products. Don't miss the event of the year @ Kissimmee"

Running the race this weekend, Tire wear was something that I experienced, but got better as the race progressed. I started with 37's, then 40's and even on 42's, I was still traction rolling. They did a great job on putting together a great facility to race. I liked the way that the trailer parking was done, just 1 thing would have been nice. An aditional loudspeaker for the trailers and people back behind the first row.

AWSOME JOB GUYS, I wish I would had signed up for this weeks race!
See you guys in December!!!!!

If you call the state race practice yes I was there ,,what a groove,, I to was out on 40's and 42's,, bring some power and big gears to make that long 250 foot back straight,, hope you have some high speed steering you will need it at this track,, fuel economy is a problem with highly modified motors and a fuel stop is a time killer I didnít have much tire wear on Sunday Ö. See ya all there roflmao in TECH

Question guys:
40' 42' tires, are you talking about 1/10 or 1/8?
People say that my local track is too smal for 1/8, we run 20T on the second pinion, then people is running 19T pinion on second gear over there; do that means that that track is smaller than my local track right?

Default tires

40s and 42 10th scale. the track is about 1100 feet with a 250 feet back straight away. its a pretty good size track. traction was pretty crazy this last weekend, i was also running 42s by the end of the weekend.

I think the reason for the smaller gear is there are no sweepers on the Nats layout.
