I have 2, and have had no problems. Maybe it's vehicles without protection (ie:rollbars, ect.) that are going to have trouble.? As patelladragger said, I'm sure "Crazy Nut " will take care of any customer concerns. He's a good guy.

P.S. Crash damage does not equal warranty with any manufacturer.

Not trying to start anything, just asking a question...

A 1:8 buggy heads stick out of the body and being that the Crazy Nut head is taller, obviously more cause for concern. Now, in a turnover crash, if a Novarossi or OS head didn't break but the Crazy Nut did...would that be considered crash damage not covered by the manufacturer? I did order one for my TC and I've been pretty pleased with it so far.

Dave,

I think what you are planning is the right thing to do.

My had just fell off and it seems that the RC Car Action guy had the same experience.

As people stated here before, the head give the engine a different sound, so it's obviously resonating at certain rpm's.
Some engines might vibrate more than others also.

I think a little more meat around the lower fins will fix it, and it will not hurt the CG.

I will put the new head you sent me on a different engine and hope it will not happen again.
Maybe my other engine has a vibe that 's not good for the head.

Patelladragger, you asked me a question earlier:"stefan, not trying to be rude, but how does the head come out of the car with no crash involved?", which clearly implied that I was not stating the truth or facts.

I just thought a second opinion might help...

As I told you, I'm swamped with work right now, we are launching the new BMW Z4 and those launches stand for indefinate work hours :-))

I'm certainly not out for a freeby, trust me.

I have the Gun Metal Kawahara .21 size engine head for .12 Novarossi based engines for auction on eBay. It didn't come with a button, and I can't seem to find a button that will fit my RX12 yokomo engine. But it's nice and big, wish I could use it. I can include the button for an extra $15 but I don't know what engine it is for. If you have a button already, this head will work. I also have a platinum heatsink made for OS CV type engines, and it can fit others as well.

Definetely, I would pick one up in a heart beat. If it were blue, then I would be even MORE inclined to pick it up.

As soon as you get the OS .12TR head in, I will be all over it.

i just received my head for an rb s7, the craftsmanship is OUTSTANDING unfortunatly i wont be able to try it out until spring due to geographic location causing outdoor tracks to close shop for the winter.

Default Tuning with a Crazy Nut head

Hi Guys,

I put the Crazy Nut head on my MT-12 running in a MTX2.

I got temps off the plug of 100-120.

I put the standard head back on & got 240-260.

My question is do I re-adjust the carb with the Crazy Nut head to give me 220-260 temp?

I thought the engine ran a bit sluggish at the lower temps with the CN head.

Many Thanks
