thanks NTC3nut, its really cool of you to post these pics and keep us all informed, but would it be possible that you would have some pics of the actual racing? I've been trying to find more pics of the action on the track but cant seem to find it. Are they restricting photos of the racing and the cars themselves or something?

The only actual race photo's I have are the start of the 235mm race, and several of the drivers on the stand. The track that hosted the event will have a proffesional video available for $25. soon.

Ditto that. You were getting us fiends news early on when we couldn't get it anywhere else!

Josh according to the race reports had a strong chance to win both classes right up till the last lap. Salven's tank roll-pin came out causing him to leak fuel on his tires in 200mm. I didn't read what happened to him in 235.

Word is pavidis ran most of the race with no spring in his RADIO wheel!!! amazing.

Really all the nats proved in my mind is that all these cars are so close it's all about the driver and the preparation...but then, that's what I thought before the nats anyway.

Yes, Josh's driving was awesome. It did literally come down to the last 1-2 laps in both classes. Josh had both classes won until he had a mild spin out in the 235mm, and he had to pit for a splash and go in the 200mm. Salvens pin did come out on his sedan, I don't remember what happened to his 235mm car, I think he broke. And yes, Mark's steering spring broke at the 15min. mark. I saw it happen, it looked like he had a radio hit and lost control for a split second. He held it together and won with plain old clean driving. There is no doubt that it is 99% driver & 1% car! (Well maybe 95/5)

HHHMMMMM.......
Luck has to be in there sometimes!!

If Salven or Baker stayed in the whole race running 22-23sec. lap times.....oh, well its over!

Salven- maybe he stood a good chance. Baker? Don't think so...his driving style doesn't lead me to believe he stood a very good chance of making a ntc3 last one hour.

well, honestly an NTC3 driver winning the race doesnt surprise me one bit. Did you notice how many NTC3's were fielded? Doesnt take a rocket scientist to see the ratios and based on that, the most likely outcome. Factoring in sheer numbers, and of course, the added given of luck or lack there of, an NTC3 was most likely gonna be the winning car. Lets wait till the world championships and then I think we'll see a different outcome. anyways, im just a newbie...

Default Hot set-up!!!

Last Sunday-I took the spring out of my steering wheel and picked up 0.5 seconds per lap!!! NOT!!!!

I dont know what you guys think of that-but I'd guarantee my knees would be knocking so hard and my grip on the wheel would be so hard after one hour, I'd require surgery to unclaps my fingers what a freekin awesome accomplishment

Claimassive, I don't think numbers had that much to do with it. If it had, Serpent would have cleaned everyone's clock. Their cars outnumbered everyone else probably 2 to 1 in the 200mm. In the 235mm Serpent had 99% of the field. It came down to drivers, cars, and yes luck. Ray, I probably would have passed out after an hour with a bad radio, I think a 20 min. main is long!

Mike, are you doing the testing of the captured ball ends for RCProductdesigns? I hope he hasn't dropped the idea after all of the work we already invested in it!!! It is still a very viable plan, especially after eading how much work AE's rear toe links are to simulate!!!
