Default my xr80 goes into a hook..

slide when i brake why? took the stock wheels off and put the serpent wheels on and had to shave the insides... the two on the rear..
whats wrong?

Your XR80 has a one way front diff and a locked rear. The brakes only work on the rear wheels. If your brake is set too sensative, it will spin out like that. Try reducing it, you can either reduce the travel on your throttle servo, adjust the linkage, and or try not to push so hard on it...

thanks i'll try that,, do you always have to shave the inside rear rim & tire when using the serpert wheel?

No, try adjusting the lower pivot balls. Have you gone through and made any suspension adjustments? I basically rebuilt mine, the rear droop settings were so far off, I couldn't get a ball tip hex in it. But once I got it hooked up...DAMN! This thing flies... It feels like its on rails, very nimble, and very fast.
