Default TOP RACES IN THE U.S. AND THE WORLD.

Just saw an interesting topic in the electric forum. picking the top 8 races in the u.s. and the world. I was just wondering which races people think are the most prestigious for (NITRO)

here goes my list

(ifmar worlds)

roar nats
winter nats
paris memorial
toledo (Great lakes challenge)
O'donnel Championships. formerly known as MC coy champs.
Texas Biggie.

I could only come up with 7 races including the ifmar worlds.

I think that the Winternats are one of the most important one and the Worlds now that it came alive ...

BUT, it all depends ... there are BIG events in Europe that are named as "international" but US drivers dont have any participation ...

I would put the winternats ahead of the ROAR Nats, just because of sheer size, history, and tradition. The winternats 30th race is coming up in 2006, it's gonna be something special for sure!

How about Regionals? but after watching what is happening this year, I will add local races first.

sort of like world series baseball? and isnt gridiron considered a world series event too?? when there definately not a true "world series" event. i cant believe they wear padding for that...

i guess if you had to rate events then they would be... (my opinion)

ifmar events
ifmar qualifying events (state/national title events)
reginal events
local events

The World series of baseball is called that because it was sponsored by a newspaper called "The World" In fact its wrongly named as it should be called The "The World" Series but that sound wrong so it was called The "World" Series.

Cheers
