Hey Mike , great coverage of the event. Loved all the videos, and pics. If you get a chance could you post what type of car each of the top three finishers were driving in each class it would be great information.
Thanks, since I could not be there to see it.

Racer info for all A-Main drivers will be posted Monday night or Tuesday morning. I have all the driver info sheets, but need to type it all in.

Thank Ted for remembering to give them to me - I forgot about them.... :-/

Wonderful race! Great weather, lots of fun, a VERY enjoyable event!!!!

Today's photos will probably be posted late Monday night. I have a few more videos to upload to Youtube as well.

OK, I want to post all of my "Thank you" that are needed...
I wanted to thank everyone for coming out for the race! Without you all this race wouldn't be as good as it is. A huge thanks goes to all of the club members that put in the time and effort to continue the fun and relaxed racing. A big thanks goes to Davis Engine Rentals since my engine decided to blow up, and to David Greer and his great pit work (well almost, I didn't pass Rick in the pits...lol). I need to say a special thanks to the fellow GT racers that came out, I am always hoping for a better turnout, but thanks to the ones that did! I also wanted to thank the guys from New York that all fit in "the van" for a fun time at Applebee's and for letting me know where you found my temp gun.

I lastly wanted to "thank" whoever "borrowed" my temp gun for leaving it behind when you left. It would have been nice to use but at least I don't have to buy a new one... It just goes to show that you still can't trust fellow racers.

Congrats on getting your car together for the main! You snuck up on me. Im the Tekno guy that finished 4th. Bad tire choice and not driving well didn't help. Great job, wish I would have met you.

Ran my Serpent 747 also for the first time racing. I was happy qualifying last in the C and finishing 7th. Maybe the B next year!

Thanks to everyone that puts the race on, very well ran. This was my first time, will see you next year.

Congrats to all the winners and participants!

Big thanks to Mike Myers nice meeting you!

Glad to hear you had a good time! Running 2 classes keeps you busy. Hopefully you can make it next year, I know I will be there.

Well, it's 10:30pm and I'm back in Miami. I'll get to photos, and the equipment lists tomorrow.

When I showed up at the race, I forgot how much FUN r/c racing can be - too much "serious" stuff going on which I hear about, or read about. The Toledo club knows how to put the FUN back into racing. Everything is seemingly so easy-going, and they just know what to do, and how to do it - the even (at least from the outside seems to run like clockwork!).

I remember at other tracks how I'd walk around, and see so many frustrated people. In Toledo, I can't say that I saw even one of them. The track still seems to be very easy-going on errant cars, and the ones that do come back into the pits damaged still look like a car, and not a pile of random parts. It's especially nice to see so many of the same faces, year after year! It's the kind of event that people just want to keep coming back to.

The biggest potential problem I can think of, is if too many people realize what a great race this is, and the club gets overwhelmed with entries. 14 heats seems to fit into the time schedule nicely - without having to be too rushed. If 200 racers were to show up, I'm not sure how they could be fit in, without losing some of the charm of the event. The club never did charge very much for racing, and the whole event couldn't be any more "easy going".

It was also very nice to see more and more people getting involved in the ancient "pan car" class, but nowadays the cars seem to be easier to drive and far more forgiving than the ones I remember from back in the 1970's and 80's. It was nice to see Art Carbonell drive one so well, and maybe he'll be the instigator of starting the class up in Miami. If that happens, I'm sure I'll be getting into this again.

Check out all the videos on Youtube - lots are posted up above, and once you find the channel, you can find them all. I tried to get a little video of everyone at the race, going around the pits several times.

I don't use facebook very much, so Brian Berry should be re-posting my photos and videos there. I may post everything on Google+ (which I trust far more than facebook), so that's another way to find the images and videos.

I had a great time at the race - and especially seeing people who I meet at this event once a year. I guess I'd also like to say a slightly early Happy Birthday to Lou Przybyla! I'm very happy he did so well..... I'll have his video posted tomorrow as well.

Posting photos here limits the quality of the images, let alone the work of sending everything to a photo server from which I can link the images.

I'm posting everything to Google+, which is essentially the same as facebook, but done in a much more professional manner (no privacy issues, and photos won't be taken by the server people to be used for advertising, or whatever). If you don't know what I mean, read the fine print of what facebook can do with anything you post there.....

Here are links to the photos - Brian can copy these links to the club's facebook page:

Sunday's action photos and the rest of the videos should be posted within an hour or so.....

(If you already have a Google+ account, just go to my page, and you'll find everything as soon as it's posted. Leave your name beneath any photo you're in, or leave any comments you'd like to make.)
