i owne this engine for more than 5 yrs now, it never gave me problems until this month (Nov). I had this engine mounted on a break-in stand so that i can set & tune it b 4 installing to my NTC3, it cranked up right away after 2 seconds the rpm build up higher & higher i couldn control it, the carb was shut close, my idle was set ok cuz it started at the ritght idle,but like i said the rpm pitched high like crazy!!! Any 1?

Might be air leak some where. If there is a leak the engine can run like if the carb is open.

Take it apart and clean it up with pure alcohol and after that fill it with afterrun and let it in the engine for 12 hours.

I have alot of time this coming Thanksgiving weekend to take it apart,deep clean and inspect,Thanks 4 replying Lyrix! ill letchu know wats up!
