When I went from my Vector 2000 to my 950R, this was a HUGE difference....
Basically I am 1 second faster with my 950R compared to the Vector.......

But also take this in mind.
If you would be able to buy a brand new Vector, you will probably also improve your laptimes, because the car is not worn out yet......

Yes, the car has many lesser parts and are stronger built. Maybe i will change for that the next season and drive with my Vector this summer.

what do you mean that the Vector isnt worn out yet?

Your Vector is old I guess.
If you buy a new Vector, all the parts are new, and there is no play in any of these parts, so this car will handle better then your old Vector.....

Lou,

If you are going to be there for sure, I may come out on Saturday if I can find some hard rubber. I think Frank may go so I'm going to try to show up to help you guys.

Default Rear Body Mount

Has anybody tested the effects of the multiple rear body mount positions on the 960?

With 4 options on the body mount, would it really make a significant difference based on the angle it sits when connected to the rear hubs?

Kendall,

The positions on the body mount change the rear body position and the aerodynamic, wich means that you will notice the effect at speed. The more vertical more traction in the rear, and the more lay down, less traction (wich basically means less or more steering)

Hope this info can help

I'm not planning on going. I've been stuck with this flu bug over the last couple of days. If I feel better tomorrow, I'll see you at CP.

the first two from bottom seems to give more rear bite on throttle but the 3rd and 4th seems not. Try this: use the lowest mount, push down the rear end (hold and push down the engine head), you will see the rear side (of the body) will increase. Use the 3rd hole, it will do the opposite.

On the track, I felt that the more vertical the arms were the more hi-speed traction the car had.

Lou,

It was cool just sitting back watching you guys all drive your 960's today. You, Ryan, Bryon and everyone else looked pretty good with the car today. Looks like everyone is super comfortable with the car now.

Chris
