this can raise or lower your body mount position. this with the top of the mount positions raise or lower the body. so if you require a little steering, lower the mount by using the lower hole. if you need a little more rear grip, then raise it. obviously the lower positions have the most effect. the top positions are a finer adjustment.

Default Problem adjusting wheelbase to -4mm

Hi. I was trying to reduce the wheelbase by 4mm in my 960 but ran into a problem. The rollbar mounts wont come back enough for me to put the 4mm spacer in front of them.

Is anyone running -4mm wheelbase and how did you solve this problem ?

In order to shorten the wheelbase you have to take the 4mm spacers from behind the upper and lower arm and put them in the front you also have to and a 4mm spacer between the front lower arm and the swaybar mounts. hope this helps.

Ok, so i have to put a 4mm spacer in the screw that connects the lower arm and the rollbar mounts ? Is that the same type of spacer used for caster/wheelbase adjustment ?

Thanks

do -4mm wheelbase give big difference in car responsive or in stability ? i did try using -3mm wheelbase but i dont feel any different with it.

now i using -2mm wheel base with 4mm caster which i feel d car much smoother in corners and also sweeper.

Well, acording to the Serpent setup booklet:

EFFECTS OF WHEELBASE ADJUSTMENT
Longer Wheelbase
• Car more difficult to turn around sharp corners
• Increases stability
• Better handling over bumps and ruts
• Better on more open tracks with high-speed corners
Shorter Wheelbase
• Car turns sharp corners more easily
• Increases steering response
• Better on tighter, more technical tracks
• Increased rear traction under acceleration

... so -2mm should feel smoother than -3mm. My track has a very technical infield that needs the car to turn quickly thats why i wanted to try -4mm.
