Hi Paolo, can you share your expertise on S960 about ackerman.. seems you like #2 servo saver horn using outermost/longest holes, why not #1 longest holes for more linier steering (less ackerman angle)? I"m reffering to your Ft. Myers "final" setups. Thx

S960 chasis itself is very well balance,

I use the other servo saver positions when the traction is very high, running the #2 in the outter position definatley gives you the most amount of ackerman. Often I will just move the linkage trackside and move it to the inner holes on the #2, which also produces a bigger steering radius and much less ackerman. The car does want to oversteer as much lock-to-lock when going through chicanes and quick sections that require alot of steering input. You can also do this by removing castor, but it usually hurts the corner speed of the car in other areas of the track. Lately rather than taking caster out of the car, the servo saver adjustment (less ackerman), seems alot better. (Or sometimes simply taking dual rate out). You'll notice the rate of the ackerman is really significant in the last 10% of the travel. Going to 85% dual eliminates most of it.

I learned ackerman alot since 705 .. so what you are saying: #1 is preffered? or you still preffered inner hole of #2? Thanks and good luck on your races.

Default Team Serpent ready for Nats

Finally after a really strong hurricane, we have Internet again at the office. We where really lucky because we had no damage and we had power since the day after so we where able to keep working in order to finish the preparation of all the equipment.

For this race, the most important in USA, we will have a very strong Team in both classes.

We where lucky also in being able to test the weekend before the storm. Both S-960 and S-710 are performing really well.

We will like to invite all Serpent drivers, to join us and share a great time. We will be more than welcome to help and assist you with in any technical matter. Beside Michael Salven, all the other drivers are very capable and more than willing to help.

Good luck to everybody attending the event and let's race and have fun!!!
