Hello Mike,

If you check out the Hamilton, OH - Joyce Park website at www.TSRCAR.com there is a set-up section in their forum..

I posted a couple of 960 set-ups from last year (earlier in the year with a lower grip track).. That should give you an idea, and is dependent upon the level of grip, which came up nicely at the end of the year.

You may have to change the view on the thread to show last years posts. Enjoy, and it will be good to see you at the track.

Darin

The 08' model is finally available but in a very limited quantity, the only people who gets it are the people who pre-ordered.

This is very helpful. But I'm wondering if you could post the parts needed to convert just the rear from 960-07 to 960-08? I realize that there would be two options here, OS1 or OS2, and the only difference between those two would be the part number for the actual upright (right, or does 903254 come with more than just the OS2 uprights, like maybe different axles?).

I'm not really interested in converting the front end, as it seems mostly for convenience and I've got a pretty good stock of spare front-end parts to use up.

I'm also confused as to the difference between part number 903254 and 903286.

Thanks.

08' 960 kits will be available next week, but only to those who pre-ordered and hopefully more will be available by the end of the month.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I go to Serpent's web site (www.serpent.com) and type in 903252 where it says 'product search (part name or number)' and it comes back with 'Sorry, no results found.'

I love Serpent, but I have always had the hardest time finding anything on their web site.

If you have a link to this description on their site, or can instruct me in the proper use of their web site so I can find this stuff myself, I would be eternally gratefull.

I think WALT really want to find out is what does 903252 comes with..? Like 2 uprights, 2 lower and 2 upper arms and stuff...? It was about $150 retail...so it sounds like a FULL conversion...but what exactly are included..

903252 is a big $$$ item, so I think it is all the arms and legs parts for the OS1 rear end...(not OS2)
903253 is the upright and arm for OS1 (I think...can't see picture)
903254 is the upright and arm for OS1 (I think...can't see picture)
903285 is the full rear suspension set for OS1
903286 is the full rear suspension set for OS2...

Check your email....

I start appreciate my 950R...no update yet, no need to worry about conversion kits...(yes, I am just kidding..)

903252 does seem to be the full conversion based on the price and the description, but I only want to convert the rear. That's where I figured a parts list of 903252 would allow me to see which parts are rear parts and then I could just order those.

The descriptions I found for 903253 and 903254 are the same as the descriptions for 903285 and 903286, which is why I'm confused there. And those descriptions imply that only the plastic parts are included, so I don't know if I need new axles, quick change levers, bearings, bearing spacers, shims, pivot balls, etc.

You guys are telling me that all the information is right in front of me, but I'm still not seeing it.

Hi Walt,

Sorry for not having the info you are looking for in the website. We are working in a new Serpent USA website wich should be up shortly with new feautrs, better info and more

Regarding your concerns:

903252: ful conversion to 2008 car (OS1 offset). Includes
Chassis
Front Bulkheads
Front lower arms
Front sway bar assembly (plastic parts)
Rear Lower Arms
Front upper Arms (turnbuckle and ball included)
Body Mount Arms

To convert the rear end only:
903253 (OS1) offset. All plastic parts, turnbukle and balls included) YOu just need this to convert if you want to run OS1 (Serpent style wheels)

903254 (OS2) offset. All plastic parts, turnbukle and balls included) You will need also the wheelaxle assembly in order to install OS2 (MUgen Style Wheels) 903268 + 903269

903255: all plastic pieces to update front end. If you run OS1 this is all you need, if you run OS2, you will need also 903266 + 903267

903008: 960 Kit. Comes with both OS1 and OS2 (only USA versio kits comes this way)

Note: New car is a lot stronger. In the rear lower arms, the material around the pivot pin has being increased, so the new chassis has 2 slots, just below the pivot pins of the lower arms (10mm wide by 1mm low) in order to have enough clearance if you use your rear lower arms all the way down. No neccesry to change chassis. If you run your rear lower arms all the way down, you will just need to have your chassis milled down

Hope this info can help...

Solara... time to update to a new car
