Yes...thats the one. like M7H mentioned...the stock one might be too short..that I would not know. Back then, on the old Serpent website, there were several articles of someone installing the LC gearbox on VETEQ...and he did use the LC gearbox shaft as well with some modification.

so the lower flange is machined so that the whole bulkhead is lowered?

also, i measured a front bulkhead, and the upper and lower flanges are only 2mm and 3mm thick. could you mean 0.4mm?

We are waiting your teaching how to fit this gearbox on Vector Have luck!
Your welcome.
In this link posted by you:
http://www.serpent.com/product/902410/
It is mentioned you should use a different shaft, it is because the 2nd gear from the LC gear box is thicker than the one from the vector. This way the hole in the shaft which holds the 3mm pin, is in the wrong location.....

It is probably this shaft you should order:
http://www.serpent.com/product/909634/

I am going to try to mount the LC gearbox in my Vector on an old 950 shaft.

Reading the description this shaft will be direct fit on the Vector, no mod required
I'll put on an order with these parts
Thank you Solara for the help. Really appreciate
M7H don't forget to tell us your experience installing the gearbox

Its the same bulkhead that comes on the 07 car, i just know when you mount it the lowest its 4mm lower than the original car. And i was refering to the option chassis, when i was saying to remove the material around were the the front graphite plate mounts, i dont have a camera rite now so i cant post a pic. Hope this helps!

Jeremy, the original bulkhead + new lowered suspension arm mounts only raise the front roll center 1mm more. So with the new mounts, the mounting position is only -1mm. Are you trimming the bulkhead more to receive an even lower setting?

I'm a little confused here, the new lowered suspension arms raise the car's roll center. (to raise the front roll center you lower the top inner pivot point).

Which from the manual states a higher roll center (which is lowering the suspension arm).

- Decreases on-throttle steering
- increases car's responsiveness
- Increases weight transfer at front of car, but decreases grip
- Use in high-grip conditions to avoid traction rolling
- Better on trcks with quick direction changes (chicanes)

However, if you shim the suspension arm higher, you're lowering the front roll center which offers these effects.

- Increases on-throttle steering
- Decreases car's responsiveness
- Decreases weight transfer at front of car, but increases grip
- increases chassis roll
- better on smooth, high-traction tracks with long fast corners

So to get more steering wouldn't you raise the inner suspension pin?

Essentially yes you would, but thats the OVERALL feeling.

As the pivot pin becomes lower and lower, it increases the steering responsiveness, which gives you that feeling of increased steering. Although it does take away more grip mid corner and corner exit, it makes for a much easier to drive car.

As the pivot pin increases in height, the response rate decreases, which would give it that initial push feeling.

These are my findings, hope it helps!

Jeff, after taking the rear of the vector apart yesterday, I found out this "problem"
The Vector axle is this one:
http://www.serpent.com/product/9631

You can see that the drive/brake pulley is not secured with a grubscrew, but hold by a square "pin" on the axle...
http://www.serpent.com/product/9614

Also see this exploded view:
http://www.abc-rc-shop.nl/catalog/fl...nd_Part_I.html

So I think you also need to order this part with the new axle:

Hey Nigel, I believe I see your point, and it's likely why I compensate with heavier oil, which brings back responsiveness and initial turn-in.
