Whatever happened to RB? A few years back it was an awesome engine. I had borrowed one from a friend for a final and found the engine was very consistent even though it lacked the top speed of Novarossi.

From what I had seen here in the last couple of years, it seemed that ever since Mega, JP, and Ninja all started their own engine companies Novarossi has gone into overdrive and their engines are even better than before.

The engines I see here are mainly Novarossi, JP, Mega, a few MF, and now a few Ninjas. RB is completely gone on .21 except for buggy and I only see one or two for .12. What's it like in other places?

You will not feel any direct difference related to the disk, the only time to notice this is when the temperature will be quite high. The disk gets warm and you will loose brake effect.

The biggest difference can be noticed with the type of shoe you will use.

The race pads will apply a hard brake effect, the teflon somewhat more less.

well here its starting to come back to life more people are running them now . but you know that its a fad with engines what hot right now it what people are running .and with the top end thing i have never had a problem running down any other brand with my RB. remember all engine have different power bands these day .

I find this to be true as well. I find with the race pads it can take a bit more effort to tune them to my liking though. They can tend to be too hard so it takes a few tries to tune the brake level to where I like it. On the plus side I do find they last longer. Just take some very rough sandpaper and roughen them up a bit to keep them at their peak.
